Horizon Air Flight Attendants to Hold Demonstration at SEA & PDX on Wednesday as They Fight for a Fair Contract

Date: 11/4/2019

At Wednesday’s protest, Horizon Air flight attendants will be rallying alongside AFA union leaders, allies, and flight attendants from across the country as they demonstrate to end discriminatory wage policies that flight attendants on regional carriers face.

On average, regional flight attendants are compensated 45% less than flight attendants on mainline carriers. Horizon Air is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alaska Air Group. Right now, Horizon Air management is not offering reasonable wages, and is demanding productivity increases without increasing pay.

The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA is the flight attendant union organized by flight attendants for flight attendants. AFA represents 50,000 flight attendants at 20 airlines, including those at Horizon Air.
