Mesa Day of Action April 25

Date: 4/4/2017

Come support Mesa Flight Attendants.  Mesa AFA Members turned out a record-breaking strike vote of 99.56% last week!  Now, it's time to turn up the heat on management. An AFA Day of Action is planned for April 25, 2017.

We will be picketing in front of United and American terminals to show our support for Mesa Flight Attendants and to call for a fair contract.  Mesa Flight Attendants are prohibited from informational picketing, so we need the support of every other Flight Attendant at every airline to make this work!

It is immoral that Mesa continues to utilize the Flight Attendant contract from bankruptcy. Mesa Flight Attendants are between 10% and 20% behind the pay of their regional counterparts doing flying for United and American.  Mesa Flight Attendants also lack many of the basic scheduling protections that Flight Attendants at other carriers have won.

And healthcare costs are extraordinarily high for below average coverage. Many Mesa Flight Attendants have to make choices between paying rent and affording food. This is wrong for any worker in America, let alone for the over 1,000 of aviation's first responders working at Mesa. They keep passengers safe and present the face of Mesa, American and United.

We all have a responsibility to help raise the standards for these Flight Attendants. As long as one Flight Attendant is underpaid, disrespected, or mistreated - we are all in jeopardy. Together we can fight back.

Stand for your Mesa sisters and brothers on April 25, 2017 from 12:00-1:00pm:

Chicago (ORD) - Elbow area between Terminals 1 & 2 – Upper Level Departures
Dallas (DFW) - Terminal B Between Entrance 30 and 43 – Upper Level Departures
Phoenix (PHX) - Terminal 4, Level 2 South East Curb - Near Door 28

More information to be announced.
